The Pettiagalla Tea Estate is one of the best known tea gardens located at a height reaching up to 1500 m above sea level, in the Ceylon county of Dimbula. Teas from this garden are typically very aromatic and this is no different in the case of our black tea Pettiagalla Orange Pekoe. It produces are darker infusion with a sweet floral taste and aroma, and is a fully typical Ceylon tea. The lightly oaky taste component may evoke Barrique wine. The tea is harvested from January, when the specific climatic conditions upon harvesting make their mark on the tea leaves, and the resulting product obtains its inimitable qualities. The tea is superb with milk or a dash of honey. When combining the tea with milk we recommend extending the brewing time by 50%. Pettiagalla is also an excellent basis for preparing various blends of tea. More
