This herbal drink is prepared from the actual buds of red roses, which are gathered young and subsequently dried. The drying process is relatively slow, without the access of a greater quantity of air, in order to ensure that the rosebuds maintain as many of their qualities as possible. The buds are very aromatic and have a natural sweet and sour aroma of roses, which the beverage also maintains.
